Absolutely! And despite what some people are saying, I LOVE Bane’s voice. I think it’s awesome, and I didn’t have any trouble trying to discern his words except for maybe once or twice. Nothing that a second viewing couldn’t fix, which it did. :)
Hands down, Bane’s voice was menacing, creepy and at times deceptively calm and almost soft, with a gritty underlayer, and it worked. And maybe that’s because, as a non-native speaker, I’ve learned to be a careful listener, but I understood him at all times. (Cause I’m too cool for subtitles, haha.)
I JUST LOVE CHRISTOPHER NOLAN SO MUCH. And Christian Bale! This was his best performance as Batman. Uuuuh, SO GOOD. It was a more than satisfying conclusion to an epic story.
I was floored by the movie: the script, the direction and the performances, in particular Christian’s and Tom’s. Christian poured his entire soul into this last performance as Batman. Tom met all my expectations as Bane and more. He had a freaking mask covering most of his face, yet his performance was incredible. It only shows what a great actor can do with eyes only.
AH, I KNOW. Like, I get upset when people say that they don’t like it, because I just think it’s one of the best films I’ve ever seen. And YES, we shall discuss it soon via IM, that way nobody will stumble across any spoilers we might mention!
WHAT’S NOT TO LIKE?! Hey, I may be perceived as narrow-minded for this, but seriously, what the hell is not to like with this epic, brilliant, perfect conclusion?
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH YOU SAW IT. WASN’T IT THE BEST THING EVER!?
OMG YES I SAW IT!!! I was totally speechless for a while afterwards, and then my sister and I erupted into a waterfall of words. This is by far the best ending to a trilogy, and I have nothing but praise for the movie. It couldn’t have ended in a better way. I was like, ASDGAHJFJDA IS THIS THE REAL LIFE WHAAAAT. We so have to talk about it soon on IM. With this movie, I just reached a whole new level of fangirling AND fanboying. :)
“Ah, you think darkness is your ally? You merely adopted it. I was born in it! Molded by it. I didn’t see the light until I was only a man. By that time it was nothing to me but blinding. The shadows betray you because they belong to me.”—Bane, The Dark Knight Rises (via blackskyline)
