Am I the only one…

…who is not looking forward to the new show Elementary, in which Sherlock Holmes lives in NYC and Watson is a woman?

I don’t mind another Sherlock Holmes adaptation, to be honest. I love this fandom, and while the show Sherlock is perfection, there’s always room for another adaptation (although Elementary seems a bit random at this point in time since it’s also a modern-day adaptation like Sherlock, and I kind of think Sherlock is enough for now, plus I love Sherlock).

When I saw the preview for Elementary, I thought: “This would have been really cool…if it wasn’t called a Sherlock Holmes adaptation.” Because (and I don’t care if it’s too early to say, I can have an opinion) this doesn’t give me any Sherlock Holmes vibes, at all, and that’s the problem I have with this show. I think I might give it a chance out of curiosity, but I’ll need some convincing. Basically, loads of positive reviews, or I won’t bother.
